Cover reveal! Gillian Philip’s “Icefall.”

I’m very very pleased to reveal the new cover art for Gillian Philip’s upcoming book, Icefall, the conclusion to the Rebel Angels series. I admit I’ve thus far only read one of her books, but that one really impressed me, and I can’t wait to continue with the others!

LawrenceMann - Icefall FRONT  Death stalks Seth MacGregor’s clan in their otherworld exile.

Kate NicNiven is close to ultimate victory, and she is determined that nothing will keep her from it. Not even the thing that took her soul: the horror that lurks in the sea caves.

But Kate still needs Seth’s son Rory, and his power over the Veil. And she’ll go to any lengths to get him.

Seth’s own soul is rotting from the wound inflicted by Kate, and survival for his loved ones seems all he can hope for. But might a mortal threat to his brother’s daughter Hannah force him to return to his own world to challenge Kate?

And will Rory go with him? Because Rory MacSeth suspects there’s a darkness trapped in the Veil – a darkness that wants to get out. But only one Sithe knows how near it is to getting its way: Seth’s bound lover, the witch Finn.

Nobody gets forever.

But some are willing to try…

The art is done by the very talented Lawrence Mann, and the expected publication date for the US (and thus, Canada) in June 2014.

  1. i just requested Book 2 (it finally has a US release!!!) on Netgalley, sure hope I get approved, even with my crappy rating on there. The first book in this series completely blew me away!

    • I got it a little while ago through NetGalley. It was how I discovered that MacMillan stopped allowing Kindle transfers. No idea if they’ve changed that yet or not… They made an exception for me in that case, which I was happy about, but the fact that they said it was an error and then kept other items off Kindle makes me think they’re phasing it out or something. Which blows.

Still, I have the second book in the series, and that makes me happy! :D

  2. I thought Tor only used NetGalley for debut authors or the first book in a series only. I just got the print edition of book 2 in the mail today, but it will be slow reading until I get a digital version (so I probably won’t get far until I can buy the ebook)

    • I’d heard the same thing, but Bloodstone was on there. Maybe it was an error and I just got lucky or something. I do wish I attracted enough notice that they sent me books in the mail like that, though. That would be awesome.
