Free readin’!

If anybody has an account on NetGalley and is interested in the Artemis Fowl books, Disney-Hyperion is currently allowing the first 6 books to be requested. No waiting period, no approval; they’re all “Read Now” books! So if you’ve been waiting for a good excuse to get your hands on this series, what better excuse is there than this? (In exchange for honest reviews, of course.)

  1. Are they the kind that are only available on your computer and not Kindle. I always hate those ones and they’re never getting read. :D

    • Nope, they’re good for the Kindle too!

I know exactly what you mean, though. Some books from there look really interesting, and I’m thrilled to be approved for a copy, and then oh, it has no Kindle access. They just get relegated to the back burner and rarely read, because it’s far too inconvenient for me to sit at my computer all day.

      • I don’t even get why they do it. It makes it totally useless. I will wait and buy the book before reading it on my computer. Do you know if there’s anyway to find that out before you request it. I just feel bad with those sitting there forever that I won’t read.

Thanks for the info. This series has been recommended to me quite often.

If there’s a way, I haven’t figuered it out yet. It seems to vary by publisher, from what I’ve noticed, but other than that, there doesn’t seem to be any discernable pattern.

Maybe we should suggest that feature to NetGalley, so that the info’s right there before anyone does make a request!

  3. Oh, nice. I don’t use NetGalley to much any more. I don’t like losing the books afterward. :) But Once in a while I get there, when I get close to getting caught up here at home. lol. Thanks for the tip!
